| Jeff Urbach and Terry Wilmeth of the Northwest Offroad Timing Authority (NWOTA) is pleased to bring you the ultimate Oregon dune sports event......SandFest 2009(sm) Please accept our invitation to join us in an incredible two-phase event and Independence Day Airshow. FOR 2009, SandFest PHASE 2 (in the dunes) IS A TOTALLY FREE ENTRY EVENT!!!!!!!! (Hey, times are tough. We prefer you spend your hard earned money on the community, not us...........Individual race and activity participation entry fees apply) July 4, 2009 will be comprised of a "Salute to the Military" airshow at the Mill Casino and RV Park with modern and vintage aircraft flybys to include a Mig-17 and F-86, B-25 bomber rides, the U.S. Army Silver Wings Command Parachute Demonstration Team show, USCG SAR demonstration, the reknowned "Renny" Price in his Sukhoi SU-29 and a Casino hosted BBQ and Beer garden with on-site support by the famous Patriot Girls. **Please note this is a separate event dedicated to recognizing Independence Day and honoring our servicemembers. Then we transition to our annual sandsports events: Phase 1 runs July 4-5, 2009 in North Bend, Oregon at Pony Village Mall. Phase 1 will comprise Supermoto style black-top racing action and incredible "racer row" sponsor displays and other activities as well as the incredible stores and restaurants within walking distance. Phase 2 runs July 7-12, 2009 at the dunes with all the traditional events to include a vendor fair, sandcar challenges, motos, GP's, the TI Poker Run, FSA Drag Racing, barrel racing, relays, music, bonfires plus a whole lot more! (hint: brush up on your Barrel Racing, "Lets Make a Deal" and "Simon Says" skills..........don't ask!) NOTE: No fee dry RV camping and full-service RV (with fee) is available at the Mill Casino during the July 4th air show on a first come first served basis (must register at the Casino RV Park). For those of you camping in the dunes, a shuttle service will be available by the casino during Phase 2 between the main event area and the Casino. See ya there! |

| Wally Cahill intended to be here to cover the excellent action at SandFest 2009 but he suffered a stroke two days ago at his home in Arizona. He is facing some tough challenges ahead but his spirits are up and he's still busting my chops. I speak for everyone in this sport when I say get better my friend.......... Say, I wonder if a Banshee Cub will fit in a hospital gurney? Hmmmmmm GET WELL SOON WALLY |
