SAND FEST EVENTS
Sand Fest is being held July 8-13, 2008. We are currently working with some very special entities
to make this a banner kick-off year. In addition, the famous main stage will be set up and manned
by our ever-popular DJ Drama. That means you can count on good tunes, good event coverage,
good times and good looks (or so we're told). DJ Drama will also host the Friday and Saturday
nite dance party from 0830 to dusk. Stay tuned, a whole bunch more is coming..................
Oh, and by the way, watch for Terry "Afterburner" Wilmeth to be conducting his annual kids ATV
surprise giveaways and ATV prizing as he has done in years past.
VENDORS AND SPONSORS
An event of this magnitude would not be possible without the support of our outstanding sponsors and vendors. For 2008, we
will have a traditional vendor row for all of our industry and community friends to showcase their excellent products (not to
mention the outstanding coastal goodies). Expect vendor row to be accessible to event participants and the local community
alike. In addition, and there will be a very special area adjacent to the main stage for our primary sponsors. Think an
amphitheatre of semis. Wait and see who shows up!!
THE BOMB SQUAD
C'mon, need we say more!?!? The freestyle aerialists of Wes Miller's Bomb Squad will be on hand to perform some amazing
stunts. We extend a warm welcome back, especially to our good friend BC, and can't wait to get this thing "kicked".
PROMOTO PROMOTIONS GRAND PRIX and MOTO-CROSS
There will be multiple classes and multiple opportunities to enter and race. And wait till you see the track! So dust off the
knobbies and get your game face on. Who is the best moto racer? Come prove it! Fees to be determined. This is a trophied
event with a 1500.00 UTV Nationals purse and a 500.00 UTV Nationals purse provided by Motosport.Com!!!!
FOUR STROKE WARS (Saturday)
Four Stroke Association is the largest four stroke king-of-the-hill racing series in the United States. Established in 2002, Four
Stroke Wars has become the measuring stick in which competitors gage there machines performance. FSA organizes and
promotes four stroke races called the "Rumble Series" throughout the western U.S.. FSA has established a professional,
competitive, and enjoyable racing venue for enthusiasts to show cases their bikes at 5 spectacular locations annually. There
are classes that accommodate all levels of racers. FSA continues to expand and evolve with the ATV industry to keep pace
with the growing amount of participants and will continue to set the standard with four stroke drag racing for years to come.
BEER GARDEN (Thursday to Saturday from 11:00am till 7:00pm)
Anheiser-Busch/Western Beverage and the Purple Parrot presents our first-ever hospitality beer garden as part of the vendor
food court (will not be located in dunes). Three drink limit and requires positive ID. Strictly enforced.
PROMOTO PROMOTIONS SIDE X SIDE SAND-CROSS
Thanks to Promoto, this exciting race event will pit side x sides in an adrenaline spewing race through the tightest track, the
gnarliest jumps and other nasty courses to see who is the best UTV driver out there. Fees to be determined by Promoto. This
is a trophied event.
SIDE X SIDE DRIVE IN MOVIE
This is a returning favorite. We will play a movie on the big screen and invite all side x side riders to enjoy a nice night under
the stars in the comfort of their favorite UTV (always nice to bring a partner, too). We will have refreshments and popcorn
available. No fee (Yay!)
NORTHWEST SAND (CAR) CHALLENGE
Don't miss this years 'NW Sand Challenge' sponsored by Oregon Motorsports and Tech3 Sandcars. Side by side stadium
style racing at its finest, thrills and spills are on the menu. If you've ever seen the monster truck races on TV, that's what we're
talking about. This challenge is designed to 'race what ya brought', classes for 4, 6, and 8 cylinders and an unlimited class for
all boosted or high HP engines. This figure 8 course will consist of straight always, corners, whoops, and jumps and is bound
to get your heart rate up. Don't miss the chance to participate in one of the most exciting events of the summer. Cash and
prizes to the top 3 in each class. See ya there..........
WOMEN’S BARREL RACE (Tuesday 3:00pm to 4:00pm)
This is a timed event. A racer will depart the start line to the right barrel (inside clockwise), round the barrel and cross to the
opposite barrel (inside counter-clockwise), then to the top barrel (inside counter-clockwise) and return to the starting line. Per
traditional western rules, any rider that safely attaches a cowboy hat to her helmet will be rewarded by removing one full
second from their times. If the rider’s hat falls off during a race, no time allowance will be awarded. The winner is the “lady”
with the fastest time. Entry fee is $2.00. Trophied event.
MEN’S BARREL RACE (Wednesday 3:00pm to 4:00pm)

SCAVENGER HUNT (Wednesday 12:30pm to 2:00pm)
So how good are you at following clues? This is an event where riders will try to find waypoints that have clues to the next
waypoint. The rider that successfully gets to the last waypoint will receive the prize waiting for them (you wont be
disappointed, trust us). This will require knowledge of the area and a knack for understanding riddles. Good luck! Entry fee
is $2.00.
NAUMES/VISSION X GROUP NIGHT RIDE (Wednesday @ Dusk)
Naumes/Oregon Motorsports and Vission X will conduct a casual moonlight dune group ride. See the dunes in the eerie
shadows of a full moon and your own headlights. Entrants are required to do a safety sign-up at the Oregon Motorsports
trailer approx. 8:30 p.m. Lights suitable for night-riding are required. This is a NO-FEE group ride. Maximum of 40 riders.
EVERY LITTLE DETAIL ART DEMOS/EXHIBITIONS (Daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm)
Frank Robles from Every Little Detail and artist Jeremiah Thiring from Thiring Design team up to knock out the most incredible
graphics and airbrushing wizardry on the west coast. SandFest welcomes these artistic gurus as they work together to show
off their skills on various items such as helmets and OHV's. You want to ride a jet-fighter? How about a platform of
electrocuted skulls? You want more? Then come see these guys and they will set you up with a one-off design the likes of
which have never been seen before. Look out entrants to the Best in the West Contest, these guys mean business!!!
BEST IN THE WEST SHOW and SHINE (Thursday)
Do you like to show-off? Are you the king of bling? Do you need sunglasses to look at your ride? Just how many layers of
clear-coat did you spray? Well, here’s your chance to “shine”. Do you have the best looking ATV or UTV out there? Come
prove that your hard work (and empty bank account) has resulted in the ultimate off-road eye candy. This is a trophied event
and brings HUGE bragging rights.
UTV and SIDExSIDE MUSCLE PULL (Tuesday 1:00pm to 2:00pm)
Well, this is the true test of brute strength and determination for our UTV/SxS riders. Entrants must pass an inspection to
ensure their ATV can be safely tethered to a weighted ATV by their swing arm (no grab bars) or other acceptable attachment
points. This event will be strictly refereed. This is a measured distance and timed competition. On each run, the rider will pull
a loaded SUV down a track to the finish line or until the referee orders a “shutdown". Referees will calculate the times and/or
distances achieved. The field of riders with the best times and/or distance will be reduced by half each run until there is one
ultimate winner.
Sign-ups are mandatory and the entry fee is $2.00. Trophied event.
TEMPORARY INSANDITY FULL-SCALE POKER RUN (we do nothing small)
Sandfest 2008 Poker Run hosted by Temporary Insandity. The Base Camp will be located at the TI tent at the main stage
area. The route of the run will be posted on a map at base camp, and information on how to get to the next location will be
given as you get your card punched. Winning score combinations will also be posted at base camp. Expect excellent prizes
and a ton of fun. Fees to be determined. Sign-ups are mandatory.
TEMPORARY INSANDITY/TRAILTECH/CYCLOPS MOTORSPORTS MOONLIGHT GROUP RIDE
(Thursday @ Dusk)
Come join Cyclops Motorsports and Temporary Insandity for a fun filled dusk group ride in the dunes. Fun for the whole
family! Participants will all meet at the Cyclops Motorsports booth approx. 8:30 p.m. for safety sign-ups. Lights are required.
Stop by the Cyclops trailer earlier for a pre-sign up. THIS IS A NO-FEE EVENT. Cyclops Motorsports will be available to
answer any questions you may have about the moonlight ride or your lighting setup. Let’s all get out and have some fun.
Maximum of 40 riders.
ATV CHARITY AUCTION
Continuing a tradition started by Fullbore Innovations and Team ALBA, Sandfest will present the annual SandFest Auction with
the gracious help of event sponsors and vendors. An auctioneer will kick off the fun at the Main Stage. Numerous cool items
from our sponsors and vendors will be available for viewing prior to the auction. There will be great opportunities to purchase
some excellent items. All proceeds will be donated to a local charity as our way of saying “thanks” for supporting the sport we
all love. Cash, certified checks, Visa and Master Card will be accepted. Stay tuned for more!
KID’S TREASURE HUNT (Tuesday 10:00am)
Kids 12 and under (under 7 will be determined case-by-case by officials and parents -Safety First!) will have an opportunity to
hunt for "treasure" comprised of hundreds of dollars in coins. Amongst the coins will be several unique “chits” that will get the
lucky treasure hunter a pocket ATV or other nice toys.
Sign-ups are mandatory -No entry fee.
ADULT-KID RELAY RACE (Wednesday 10:00am)
Kids 7-12 and their adult race partner must race on their mini-quad. The quad must be 90 cc or less. Each child will race one
oval lap around a flag and then swap with the adult for one lap.... and so on and so on... The first duo to make 6 laps total is
the winner. Sign-ups are mandatory - $2 entry fee. Trophied event.
KID’S MOTO TRACK (Tuesday through Thursday-Hours vary upon entry)
We have heard a lot of parents talk about how they wish the little berm-busters could have an area to play in. Well, to that end,
we will be fencing off an area and building up a play track for kids 7-12 riding appropriately sized 49-90cc ATV's. This will
require safety gear, monitoring by parents and will comprise of volunteers running several "motos" just for the fun of it.
